Rotary/McLeods Junior Speech Competition 2010
September 2010 marked the 15th year in which the club has run this competition. The evening was very successful.

Ciara Harvey of Kerikeri Primary school is congratulated by Rotarians
Sherryl Neale and Mel Messenger
Perhaps the most notable aspect was that speakers from the small rural school Kaeo Primary placed first and second in the year 6 category. The school has not previously taken part in the competition. Their speeches were real, heartfelt and charming.
Well done to all the teachers and pupils who participated this year and presented to such a high standard.

Mel Messenger and Sherryl Neale congratulate Angus Owens from Kaeo the
winner of the year 6 competition
Angus Owens the winner of the year 6 competition made a delightful impromptu speech thanking the sponsors Kerikeri Rotary and McLeods Lawyers and also thanked all those who attended.
